GA Granite started with one person's years at the cutting table and a simple idea: help people choose stone they love, then fabricate and install it with care.

Our story

From Brazil to his own shop

When our founder arrived in the United States from Brazil, he went straight to work in the countertop industry. He learned the trade from the shop floor up, from cutting and polishing to installing, and worked his way into management.

In 2006 he opened GA Granite to do things his way: honest quotes, careful work and relationships that last. Twenty years later, we’re still family owned and operated, and honest work is still the whole job.

Our stone

Hand-picked at the source

We import our own slabs directly from Brazil, India, Italy, Spain and Thailand, and we import our own sinks too. We pick every block and slab ourselves, and sometimes we travel to see them in person before they ship.

Two to three containers arrive at our Atlanta yard every month. Buying direct means better prices, better quality because every slab is hand-picked, and a bigger selection for you to walk through.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We originally had our bathroom countertop and sinks done, and everything turned out beautiful. The team was helpful throughout the process, and their communication was consistently good, which made the experience smoother.

They even offered us a discount if we decided to work with them on another project, which we ended up doing for a coffee table slab. When they came for installation the sizing was not accurate and they had to take the piece back and we had to choose another slab, which was not ideal and reason for 4 stars. There were some issues with the thickness of the slab for the coffee table as well, but I really appreciated how they handled it. They kept us informed throughout the process and wanted to make sure the piece was properly supported and wouldn’t crack. The owner took the time to explain the situation and make sure we were comfortable with the solution rather than rushing the job.

Overall, we’ve been really happy with both projects.

Our home was destroyed by hurricane Helene and we were out of it for 15 months. Our cabinets had to be repaired and reinstalled which necessitated new counters. I had looked at some other places but hadn’t found anything I was excited about. I stopped in to GA Granite one day for the first time, met Raul, and he showed me a dolomite counter I fell in love with. Later,  Melissa helped me with details and I found it was in my budget. I eagerly put down a deposit and the rest of the details (measurements, etc) went very smoothly. Everyone I interacted with was very knowledgeable and helpful. The biggest blessing was getting it done before Christmas as we were just moving back into our house, thanks to Melissa and also the terrific installers who ended a very long day cheerfully and expertly installing at my house- Ivano and Dorge. This was a very positive experience from start to finish. I had driven by their business literally hundreds of time and so glad I decided to check it out.
